Home of the Milton Keynes Deaf Astronomical Society (MKDAS),
advancing the education of the public in the subject of Astronomy.
MKDAS is a thriving deaf society located in Emberton, near Olney.

Thursday 26th January – 7:00pm
Using camera to capture Venus and a crescent Moon (12% lit)
can be seen together in the evening till 7.50pm.

Friday 3rd February – 7pm
Visiting March & District Deaf Club
for talking about Sky at Night
by Godfrey Palmer & David Kettle.

Friday 10th February – 10am till 5pm
Members will go to AstroFest at Kensington Town Hall.
(afterwards – pub dinner)

Thursday 22nd March – 7pm
Retrograde motion of Mars, and observing the Mars at opposition
with using various the colour filters to spot the desert and ice-caps.

Thursday 19th April – 7pm
Observing the Virgo which is particular interest
because it contains the nearest large cluster of galaxies
as it’s called “The Virgo Cluster”.

Thursday 17th May – 7pm
Observing the colour, binary and various stars.

Wednesday 6th June – 4am
Meet us at early in the morning – 4am for Transit of Venus,
if you miss, then next transits of Venus will be in
December 2117 and December 2125!

July – August
No meeting events

Wednesday 12th September ~ Wednesday 19th September
Running Trip to the Sky Camp at Norfolk for one week,
organised by British Deaf Astronomical Association.

Thursday 18th October – 7pm
Hunting the planets – Neptune and Uranus.

Thursday 15th November – 7pm
To find the challenge for
Deep Sky Objects in Andromeda and Pisces.

Thursday 6th December – 7pm
Christmas Festive Meals at
Harvester Eastlake, Foxmile, Milton Keynes, MK15 0YS.
