MKDAS is a thriving deaf society located in Emberton, near Olney.

Programme 2008

Thursday 22nd January – 7pm
Observing the Asteroids Euterpia, Harmonia, Metis,
Vesta and Pallas, and the Saturn’s “thin” Ring plane.

Friday 6th February – 10am – 5pm
Members will go to AstroFest at Kensington Town Hall,
Kensington, London W8 7NX. (afterwards – pub dinner)

Thursday 26th March – 7pm
Hunting the Planetary Nebula :- NGC3242 (Eye Nebula)
and the Antennae Galaxies (NGC 4038 & NGC 4039).

Thursday 26th February – 7pm
Observing the Deep Objects in the constellations
of Cancer, Gemini, Auriga, Perseus and Lynx.

Thursday 23rd April – 7pm
Observing the Virgo which is particular interest
because it contains the nearest large cluster of galaxies
as it’s called “The Virgo Cluster”.

Thursday 21st May – 7pm
Hunting the 20 bright Galaxies.
(between Mag 8 and Mag 11)

June, July and August
Closed

Wednesday 16th September ~ Wednesday 23rd September
Running Trip to the Sky Camp
at Norfolk for one week, organised by
British Deaf Astronomical Association.

Thursday 22nd October – 7pm
Hunting the planets – Neptune and Uranus,
& Jupiter & the Galilean Moons.
(Io reappears / Europa & Callisto disappears.)

Thursday 19th November – 7pm
Observing the Deep Objects in the constellations
of Triangulum, Andromeda, Aries,
Pisces, Pegasus and Aquarius.

Friday 18th December – 7pm
Christmas Festive Meals at
Harvester Eastlake, Foxmile, Milton Keynes, MK15 0YS.
