Noctilucent Clouds

If you are located between latitudes 50 degrees and 65 degrees North or South of the Equator then you will be seen by the presence of ‘Noctilucent Clouds’, Neo-Clouds, or NLC’s.

At above 200,000 feet or over 30 miles, Neo-Clouds (Noctilucent clouds or NLCs) are extremely rare very high clouds seen in the night sky, usually on clear, summer nights.

The northern season from the UK for Neo-Clouds are about to begin – you could monitor to check the “daily daisies” for preliminary sightings from NASA’s AIM spacecraft;
