Mercury at greatest western elongation

At the moment of greatest western elongation at 18º, Mercury will lie in the constellation of Virgo (The Virgo).

Across much of the UK,  Mercury will be well placed for observation in the dawn sky, shining brightly at magnitude: -0.6.
