Great Red Spot

I used a 4-inch refracting telescope looking at a Jupiter for Great Red Spot (GRS) transits Jupiter’s central meridian around just after 7pm. It was lovely to be seen!

The Great Red Spot is the most noticeable feature on Jupiter’s surface — a red circle-storm about 12,400 miles across and 7,500 miles wide, nearly three times larger than our Earth.
