I used a 4-inch refracting telescope looking at a Jupiter for Great Red Spot (GRS) transits Jupiter’s central meridian around just after 7pm. It was lovely to be seen!
Comparison between Earth & GRS
The Great Red Spot is the most noticeable feature on Jupiter’s surface — a red circle-storm about 12,400 miles across and 7,500 miles wide, nearly three times larger than our Earth.
