Mercury is at its greatest distance east from the Sun this evening, so you will see every evenings that Mercury is sloping low, lower and lowest meanwhile Venus is rising high, higher, and highest.

Venus & Jupiter

This late afternoon after 5pm there will be a very close conjuction of Venus and Jupiter.
Use binoculars to look at the planetary pair near the SouthernWest-West horizon, 20 minutes after sunset. (Jupiter will be upper right of Venus – see the map below.

Moon, Venus and Jupiter

The Waxing Crescent Moon (1.43 day old) is above Venus and Jupiter in the early evening twilight to join the two brightest planets.  It should be seen by binoculars.
