Welcome to the home of Derekscope Observatory Centre!
For the last 10 years, I have been encouraging astronomers who are deaf, in my local and nationwide, to take an interest in astronomy and encourage them to join our activities that are organised by the association by publishing my website that is sponsored by Yowzer Ltd.
I felt that sponsoring Derekscope would benefit the deaf community greatly because it encourages deaf people to engage with each other and above all to interest in astronomy brings deaf people together.
And I hope you will enjoy to browse my website and the contents. This website is “deaf-friendly” because I feel that the website is designed to be more visual-orientated rather than textual-orientated and easy to understand about astronomy.
Check out the latest diary dates, which is produced by deaf astronomer, Derek Rowley (Derekscope).
At new place at Derekscope Observatory Centre to hang up out for deaf non-astronomy or deaf astronomy related chat for societies that astro groups to post about out upcoming events in the night sky, sharing our hints and tips with other enthusiasts, of course have some fun too.
See my programme.
