What is ESA?

The European Astronaut Centre (EAC)
First time in the history of the European Space Agency ESA, they open the doors to show space-interested people the Astronaut training at Germany for the European Astronaut who wants go into the space, was established in 1990 and is located in Cologne, Germany.
Led by former French astronaut Michel Tognini, EAC reinforces the European commitment to human space programmes at Germany. Through its determined work over the last decades, EAC has established itself as a centre of excellence for astronaut selection, training, medical support and surveillance, as well as support of astronauts and their families during preparation for and during flight.
I was at NASA in USA on 22nd December 2009 to capture the ESA flag at the NASA’s satellite workshop.
