World Cup today :- URUGUAY v South Korea

A rare roll cloud formed by an advancing storm front hangs above the beach in Maldonado, Uruguay.

These rare long clouds may form near advancing cold fronts. In particular, a downdraft from an advancing storm front can cause moist warm air to rise, cool below its dew point, and so form a cloud appearing to “rolling” along a horizontal axis. (Although you may think it looks like a tornado turned into the horizontal, it is not associated with tornadoes at all.)

Cold air rushes out of a downdraft and lifts warmer air in front of the storm complex up to condensation level (coating if tiny water-drops formed on a surface by vapour), making both a fascinating and serious sight while it is approaching at high speed at vapour is moving in a particular direction.

See the movie :- Roll Clouds.
